The shift of an active cyclone near the coast of Primorye will bring heavy precipitation to the region, with some areas experiencing strong amounts of rain and snow. On November 27 during the day and night of November 28, the region expects rain with snow, wet snow, and snow accompanied by strong winds reaching speeds of up to 28 meters per second. A storm warning has been issued due to the severe weather conditions.
According to meteorologists’ forecasts, rainfall and rain with snow in the region will amount to 15-30 mm, while snowfall will range from 6-19 mm within 12 hours or less. In some parts of the east of Primorye, very heavy precipitation is expected, with up to 50 mm of rain and rain with snow, and 20 mm of snow in 12 hours or less.
Precipitation will be accompanied by icy conditions, with areas experiencing strong effects such as wet snow sticking and ice. Roads will be affected by black ice, snowdrifts, and in certain areas, blizzards. During the night and day of November 28, winds of 15-22 m/s are expected on the coast, with gusts reaching up to 28 m/s.
On November 28, heavy precipitation will continue in the northeast of the region. Due to the expected severe weather, rescue units, energy brigades, utility workers, and road maintenance crews will be operating at an increased pace. Residents are advised not to drive unnecessarily, especially with summer tires, not to disrupt the work of snow removal equipment, to be cautious around trees, advertising structures, and power lines.
