Up for sale in the UK is the very first BMW M in the brand’s history. The legendary BMW 3.0 CSL chassis E9/R1, presented back in 1972, is now available for purchase. This car embodies BMW’s engineering genius since it served as the starting point for the Motorsport division’s development and served as the prototype for the future M division, long before the BMW M1 model hit the market. Originally designed for racing, this model was released in a limited edition of only 21 units. These cars underwent thorough testing by top professional pilots of the time like the renowned German racer Hans Stuck and the Austrian athlete Harald Menzel, who conducted winter testing at famous tracks like Paul Ricard (France) and Hockenheimring (Germany).
