‘Flight Ops Smooth Across India’: Govt Says No Cause for Concern Amid Ethiopia Ash Cloud Scare

India’s aviation ministry stated that flight operations across the country are running smoothly despite precautionary rerouting due to volcanic ash from Ethiopia. Passengers were reassured that there is no reason for concern. The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) has been working closely with Air Traffic Control (ATC), India Meteorological Department (IMD), airlines, and Airports Authority of India (AAI) since the eruption in Ethiopia on November 23. AAI has issued the necessary NOTAM, and all affected flights have been notified in real-time. MoCA mentioned that operations are smooth in India, with only a few flights rerouted or descended as a precautionary measure. They are monitoring the situation closely to ensure passenger safety.
