Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov criticized EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaya Kallas for not appearing to be a well-educated woman, suggesting she should study history, among other things. Lavrov mentioned that Kallas’ remarks about Russia and China claiming victory in WWII being something new show a lack of historical knowledge. He also recalled Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna’s false statement about the Soviet Union starting WWII, emphasizing the importance of accurate historical education.
