Switchblade Flying Car Comes to Life: Soon We’ll Be Stuck in Traffic at 3000 Meters High

Samson Sky has announced a new stage in the development of the Switchblade flying car. The model first took to the skies in 2023, after which there were no updates on the project. Now the manufacturer has revealed that the hybrid power unit has passed its initial bench tests. The Switchblade is equipped with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 300 horsepower, working in conjunction with an 800-volt hybrid system. In ground mode, it can reach speeds of up to 160 km/h, while in the air, the aircraft can accelerate up to 322 km/h and ascend to a height of 3,960 meters. Transitioning from car mode to flight mode takes about three minutes – the wings and tail are extended.
