GBK Concerts Overflowing, Promoters Flocking to Venue

Jakarta – It’s no longer a secret that in recent years after the pandemic, concert activities in the country have skyrocketed. From local musicians to international stars, and even national events, the bookings have been overflowing. Preferred venues, including many locations within the Gelora Bung Karno complex, are fully booked. As explained by Sri Lestari Puji Astuti, Head of Marketing and Sales Division of PPKGBK at Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday (11/26/2025), ‘The development of concerts at GBK is now quite significant and continues to increase. The progress has been quite remarkable,’ Tari said. Notable venues within GBK are often chosen for hosting concerts due to their location and concert-friendly facilities. These include Istora, Indonesia Arena, Basket Hall, and Tennis Indoor. ‘Istora is an amazing place in GBK, as it holds a lot of legacy from both arts and sports,’ Tari added. For instance, Tari emphasized that by December 2026, Istora is already fully booked for music, art, and other events. So, what do you guys think?
