MP: Accused Salman in Raisen rape case encountered, shot in the leg, taken to hospital

In the case of the Raisen rape, the accused Salman had a brief encounter with the police. Earlier, the news had come that the Madhya Pradesh police had arrested him. The police of Raisen district arrested the fleeing accused Salman from a tea shop in Ward No. 11 of Gandhi Nagar, Bhopal, where a reward of ₹30,000 was announced on him. As soon as Salman arrived at the tea shop to have tea, the police immediately apprehended him. Goharganj police were taking him to Raisen. During this time, the vehicle punctured and he tried to escape, leading to the encounter. The accused was shot in the leg. After necessary action, Salman was handed over to Goharganj police. The arrest took place in Ward No. 11 of the Gandhi Nagar police station area in Bhopal. Goharganj police took the accused to their station. During interrogation, the accused stated that he had reached Bhopal through the jungle paths. Upon receiving information about Salman’s arrest, members of the ‘Jai Maa Bhavani Hindu organization’ reached the station, but the accused had already been handed over to Goharganj police. He went to have tea and was caught. The police received confidential information that the rewarded criminal Salman was in the Gandhi Nagar area. Based on this information, the police were monitoring him. As soon as Salman arrived at the tea shop in Ward No. 11, the police immediately arrested him. As soon as the news of Salman’s arrest reached the members of the ‘Jai Maa Bhavani Hindu organization,’ they quickly arrived at the station. However, the accused had already been handed over to Goharganj police before their arrival.
