Surabaya – East Java (Jatim) has experienced the highest spike in HIV/AIDS cases nationwide. The increase in cases continues to rise every year, with widespread viral transmission occurring in various regions of East Java. Behind the escalating HIV/AIDS cases, there are several factors strengthening the spread of HIV in East Java. However, the local government must continue to strengthen prevention and control strategies through various education programs, expanding access to HIV tests, and reducing transmission.
