Toyota introduces the new Veloz Hybrid in a compact SUV-minivan format

In Indonesia, the debut of the new hybrid minivan Toyota Veloz Hybrid EV took place, a compact model that combines SUV and MPV features. It is a three-row model (2-3-2) with a high ground clearance of 205mm, making it not only spacious but also suitable for driving on rough roads. Developed in collaboration with Daihatsu and built on the Avanza platform, the Veloz Hybrid sits higher in the lineup. Despite its modest dimensions, the interior is designed to comfortably accommodate seven passengers. The main highlight is the introduction of the hybrid version featuring a 1.5-liter gasoline engine supplemented by an electric motor and battery. The combined power output is 110 hp, and the vehicle is capable of operating solely in EV mode. Essentially, this marks Toyota’s move towards more affordable 2025 cars, providing economical and environmentally friendly city driving. The hybrid Veloz will be available in four trim levels, including the stylized Q Modellista with dark accents and protective body kits. Until the end of December, the base V version is offered at a special price of 2.99 million Indonesian Rupiahs, approximately equivalent to 1.4 million rubles.
