COAS, Egypt’s FM discuss new avenues of defence cooperation

Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty met with Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir on Monday to review bilateral defence and security cooperation. The meeting focused on defence and security cooperation, military-to-military contacts, training collaborations, and regional peace and stability. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening coordination and deepening ties in defence and broader strategic domains. Dr Abdelatty conveyed warm greetings from the leadership of Egypt and expressed Egypt’s interest in expanding cooperation with Pakistan. High-level exchanges were highlighted to address emerging challenges in the region. Both countries discussed the importance of cooperation in addressing evolving security dynamics.
