Disaster in Asia: at least 1100 dead in Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Thailand due to heavy rains

According to the National Disaster Management Agency, floods and landslides caused by the tropical cyclone Senyar have killed at least 442 people in the provinces of Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. This number is expected to increase as approximately 402 people are still unaccounted for. The death toll in deadly floods and landslides in parts of Asia rose beyond 1,100 on December 1, as Sri Lanka and Indonesia, the most affected, deployed military personnel to assist survivors.
