Putin Begins Meeting in Kremlin with Whitkoff and Kushner

Moscow. December 2. INTERFAX.RU – Russian President Vladimir Putin is meeting with US President’s special envoy Steve Whitkoff in the Kremlin on Tuesday evening. The meeting also includes American President’s son-in-law Jared Kushner. On the Russian side, Assistant to the President Yuri Ushakov and Presidential Special Representative, CEO of RDIF Kirill Dmitriev are present. At the beginning of the meeting, Putin expressed his pleasure in seeing Whitkoff and Kushner, noting that they had a walk around Moscow before the meeting. ‘Yes, we had a good, pleasant walk around the city,’ Whitkoff said. ‘Moscow authorities have the right to be proud of what they have done for the development of the capital recently. I hope you were able to see it,’ Putin remarked. Whitkoff described Moscow as an ‘amazing city.’ It is expected that the peaceful plan for Ukraine proposed by Donald Trump will be discussed in the meeting. Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov stated that the meeting has no fixed time frame and will continue for as long as necessary. This is Whitkoff’s sixth visit to Russia this year.
