Emergency crews are working tirelessly to rescue survivors and recover bodies following the devastating floods and landslides that have claimed over 1,300 lives in Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. The heavy monsoon rains have inundated vast areas, leaving thousands stranded and clinging to rooftops and trees in desperate need of help. The death toll stands at 1,338, with 744 in Indonesia, 410 in Sri Lanka, 181 in Thailand, and three in Malaysia. Authorities are still trying to determine the exact number of casualties, especially in Sri Lanka.
