Ushakov talks about Putin and Whitkoff negotiations outcome

Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov reported that Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump’s special representative Steve Whitkoff discussed documents provided by the American side. Specific formulations were not discussed during the meeting; instead, the focus was on the essence of the provisions. Russia and the USA agreed not to disclose the content of the negotiations in the Kremlin, emphasized the presidential aide. ‘We agreed on some points, while others received criticism. The territorial issue was discussed, as well as bilateral cooperation between Russia and the USA,’ said Ushakov. The parties agreed to continue the dialogue at the representative level, as compromises have not been found yet, and a meeting between the leaders of Russia and the USA is currently not planned. However, efforts towards achieving long-term peace will continue. American representatives will return to the USA, present the negotiation outcomes to Trump, and get in touch with the Russian side.
