Peskov: Putin did not reject Trump’s peaceful plan for Ukraine

President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, did not reject the plan proposed by the USA for the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. During talks with US special envoy Steve Whitkof, the first direct exchange of views took place on December 2, as reported by Kremlin representative Dmitry Peskov during a briefing. ‘Some things were accepted, some were noted as unacceptable. This is a normal working process to find a compromise,’ he said. Peskov also noted that it is too early to predict how many more meetings will be needed to reach a compromise. He emphasized that the Russian side highly values the efforts of US President Donald Trump in resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
