Shocking! 3.6-Meter Python Devours Rooster Belonging to Sukoharjo Resident

A python snake devoured a rooster belonging to Yuli, a resident of Telukan Village, Grogol District, Sukoharjo Regency today. The presence of the snake shocked the livestock owner. Upon making the discovery, Yuli contacted the Exalos Indonesia team for evacuation. The Exalos team arrived and promptly proceeded with the evacuation of the python snake around 4:00 PM local time. Exalos Indonesia’s Chairman, Janu Wahyu, stated that four individuals were deployed for the evacuation process. ‘We evacuated a 3.6-meter long and 13-kilogram heavy Reticulated Python,’ Janu explained in a statement to detikJateng on Wednesday (12/3/2025). The snake was safely secured inside a cage, requiring three individuals to lift it out. ‘The snake was in the middle of devouring a rooster. Due to its immense size, residents were afraid to handle it alone,’ he added. During the evacuation process, the python snake initially resisted and attempted to escape. However, with the proper and quick handling, the snake was safely evacuated. ‘When the team arrived, the snake regurgitated the rooster and tried to escape. One of our rescuers managed to grab the snake’s tail,’ he concluded.
