BAIC Stays Strong: X55 and X75 Crossovers Remain in Russia

In a statement to the press, BAIC confirmed that the X55 and X75 models will still be available in the Russian market. The company plans to introduce front-wheel-drive versions of these vehicles and aims to start offering all-wheel-drive versions by 2027. It was previously reported that in 2026 BAIC will focus on the off-road segment, adding petrol versions to the diesel BJ40 and BJ60 models. New models such as the BJ30 and BJ41 are also expected to be introduced. Next year, the company aims to sell a total of 10,000 vehicles in Russia. Despite earlier rumors of the X series crossovers being discontinued, the U5 Plus sedan will continue in production and will be fully localized by mid-2026, including welding and painting, to meet new taxi requirements.
