Wagner Moura Receives Two Nominations at Critics Choice Awards

Wagner Moura has been nominated for two awards at the Critics Choice Awards 2026. He is up for Best Actor for his role in ‘The Secret Agent’ and for Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series for ‘Drug Dealers’. The ceremony will take place on January 4, 2026.

Competing for Best Actor, Wagner is up against Timothée Chalamet (‘Marty Supreme’), Leonardo DiCaprio (‘One Battle After Another’), Michael B. Jordan (‘Sinners’), and Ethan Hawke (‘Blue Moon’).

In the Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series category, the other nominees include Owen Cooper (‘Adolescence’), Nick Offerman (‘Death by Lightning’), Michael Peña (‘All Her Fault’), Ashley Walters (‘Adolescence’), and Ramy Youssef (‘Mountainhead’).

In addition to his nominations, Kleber Mendonça Filho’s film has been nominated for Best International Film. ‘The Secret Agent’ is competing against ‘It Was Just an Accident,’ ‘The Left-Handed Girl,’ ‘No Other Choice,’ ‘Sirat’ and ‘Belén’.

The Critics Choice Awards are presented by the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) of the United States. The awards are considered a barometer for the Oscars, which will take place on March 15, 2026.
