Gaza War Mediators Express Concern Over Israel’s Plans to Open One-Way Exit for Gazans

Gaza mediators from Egypt and Qatar, joined by six other Muslim-majority countries, have raised alarms regarding Israel’s announcement to open a one-way crossing for Palestinians seeking to leave the Strip. The collective foreign ministers of Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates have conveyed their deep worries over Israel’s intentions to operate the Rafah crossing in one direction, aimed at transferring Gaza residents to Egypt. They emphasized their staunch opposition to any actions that would force Palestinians off their land and advocated for the Rafah crossing to be operational in both directions, aligning with US President Donald Trump’s peace proposal.
