The Weather Research Institute predicts the possibility of rain in Chennai in the coming days as the current hot weather conditions may change. In the report released, there is a disturbance developing below a trough over the southern Kerala coast and its adjoining areas. From 06-12-2025, some parts of Tamil Nadu, interior Tamil Nadu, including Puducherry and Karaikal regions, may experience light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning. From 08-12-2025 to 12-12-2025, light to moderate rainfall is expected in certain parts of Tamil Nadu, including the suburbs of Chennai and other regions.
