New serious accusation against Lula emerges, revealing persecution of doctors

Senator Eduardo Girão (Novo-CE) stated that the Lula government is persecuting doctors involved in studies on COVID-19 vaccines. The senator argued that the reaction came after the publicity of an article in the Estadão newspaper about “spikeopathy.” According to Girão, Health Minister Alexandre Padilha publicly announced that he would involve the Attorney General’s Office (AGU) against doctors Roberto Zeballos, Francisco Cardoso and Paulo Porto de Melo. The senator said the government should encourage more research on the subject. ‘What is this story of wanting to intimidate? The minister labeled these three doctors as deniers who had the courage to research the effects of COVID vaccines because they manipulate the spike protein. It is clear again that since the pandemic, there has been an increasing politicization of science, which benefits no one. Instead of persecuting those who think differently, the Lula government should support the continuation of studies and research on the so-called spikeopathy without any prejudice,’ he said. The senator said that studies identified symptoms such as fatigue, joint pain, mild neurological changes, gastrointestinal disorders, hair loss, memory difficulties, and sleep problems from clinical monitoring of a group of patients. The senator also stated that the term ‘spikeopathy’ already appears in international medical literature and argued that there are thousands of articles related to the potential effects of the protein. ‘Studying the consequences of the spike protein in the human body is not new in the scientific community. There are already over 14,000 scientific articles published linking the spike protein to diseases. Moreover, the term ‘spikeopathy’ was not coined by the Brazilian doctors persecuted by the Lula government but introduced in medical literature in 2023, two years ago,’ he declared. In the same speech, the senator once again advocated for amnesty for those arrested in the January 8th events. The senator criticized the Supreme Federal Court’s (STF) handling of the investigations and stated that there are people unjustly imprisoned. He mentioned General Augusto Heleno as one of the symbols of the ‘injustices’ that, according to him, are occurring in the processes. He highlighted that the 78-year-old military man has a history of service to the country and was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2018.
