This region is known for its mountainous and sparsely populated areas, limiting information on damages. Shortly after the earthquake, two more tremors of 5.6 and 5.3 magnitudes were recorded. The consecutive shocks created a sense of panic in the area, leading people to evacuate to safe locations outside their homes. According to reports, the epicenter of the earthquake was located approximately 370 kilometers northwest of the Alaskan capital, Juneau. The terrain is surrounded by forests, mountains, and snowy plains, making access difficult. However, authorities are still assessing the situation.
