Trump presents award to Sylvester Stallone

President Trump awarded winners of the 2025 Kennedy Center honors, with Sylvester Stallone among the recipients. The ceremony took place at the White House’s Oval Office, as reported by the Associated Press. This year’s honorees also included performers Gloria Gaynor and George Strait, rock band Kiss, and actor-singer Michael Crawford, all personally chosen by Trump. The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts was established in 1971 to honor President John F. Kennedy, housing seven theaters and hosting over 2,000 performances annually. The Kennedy Center honors individuals’ contributions to American culture and performing arts, with recipients being recognized since 1978 in the presence of the President of the United States. Trump praised the honorees, stating they represent ‘the best in American art and culture,’ highlighting his personal admiration for many of them.
