Toyota bZ7 with Huawei DriveONE Motor Presented at Dealerships – Range up to 710 km

The new Toyota bZ7 is gearing up for sales in China and has already made its presence known at dealerships. The model replaces the previously introduced bZ3X and showcases Toyota China’s strategy: large electric vehicles specifically designed for the local market.
The main highlight is the Huawei DriveONE powertrain, making the bZ7 one of the most technologically advanced electric sedans in its segment. The car impresses with its dimensions: length of 5130 mm, width of 1965 mm, and a wheelbase of 3020 mm. In terms of size, it surpasses the Xiaomi SU7, Xpeng P7, and even the BYD Han EV.
Externally, the bZ7 stands out with its sloping roofline, hidden door handles, frameless doors, and LiDAR on the roof. The design style echoes the new features of the Toyota electric lineup, including a closed grille and S-shaped lighting elements.
The interior is designed in the spirit of premium EVs: a large floating display, digital instrument panel, and Huawei’s HarmonyOS 5.0 with Xiaomi ecosystem integration. The four main seats come with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, while the passenger seat includes a ‘zero-gravity’ feature. A Yamaha audio system, sectional panoramic roof, and cooled box enhance the premium nature.
Available in 71.35 kWh and 88.13 kWh batteries, the maximum range under CLTC conditions ranges from 600 to 710 km. The electric motor delivers 207 kW, and Toyota-tuned pneumatic suspension ensures a smooth ride comparable to premium-class vehicles. Priced at around 200,000 yuan (approximately €28,300), the bZ7 presents a serious contender in the large electric sedan segment.
