Gaza Ceasefire: Critical Moment Reached in Gaza; Qatar States Israel Cannot Fully Receive Without Ceasefire

As the first phase of the ceasefire in Gaza comes to an end, Qatar’s Prime Minister mentioned the critical moment was reached when Israel’s Defense Minister warned that extremists would continue to escalate unless their physical possessions were returned. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani stated at a conference held in the capital city that international mediators led by the US work towards a ‘path forward’ to enforce a temporary cessation of hostilities. ‘What we have done now is a temporary stop,’ he stated. ‘We cannot count this as a ceasefire.’ He continued to emphasize that Israel must not fully withdraw its military from Gaza, not reinstate stability, and prohibit people from going in and out to achieve a complete ceasefire today.
