Vasiliy passed away at the age of 37. The talented midfielder from Moldova started his professional career at the Kishinev Academy, where he was noticed by Yuri Krasnozhan, the current head coach of the Russian women’s national team. Vasiliy was considered a highly talented midfielder and was called up to play for the junior and youth national teams. ‘Karsha is a young player, and we are watching how he develops and integrates into the team. So far, there are no issues with that,’ Krasnozhan said. The promising Moldovan midfielder was loaned out but failed to make an impact in the Russian league, playing only one match in the Russian Cup. Most of the season, Vasiliy spent with the youth team of the ‘Red-Whites.’ In January 2009, the leadership of Spartak Nalchik decided not to keep Karsha in the team, and he went on to try his luck in other leagues. However, he was valued in the Moldovan national teams. The footballer participated in matches for the qualification cycle of the 2011 European youth championship, where he faced Russian players like Aleksandr Kokorin, Pavel Mamayev, Sergey Pesyakov, among others. His career peaked on August 12, 2009, when he played a match for the senior Moldovan national team against Armenia in a friendly, appearing on the field for 45 minutes. After that, there were no significant achievements in Vasiliy’s career.
