Former singles ace Roslin joins Egypt as head coach

Former national player Roslin Hashim has joined Egypt as the head coach of the country’s national badminton team. The ex-world number one disclosed that he signed a three-year contract with the Egyptian Badminton Federation (EBF) recently. His primary goal is to train the Egyptian squad in preparation for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. According to Roslin, the role he has taken on is not just that of a coach, but also a technical director and head coach, which presents significant challenges that he is eager to tackle. He admitted that the responsibilities are weighty, but he is committed to giving his best effort towards the task. Roslin emphasized that accepting the EBF’s offer provides him with the best opportunity to utilize his expertise to advance badminton in Egypt. Observing the current state of badminton in Egypt, he noted that there is room for improvement and expressed his desire to push the Egyptian players beyond their current capabilities.
