Flamengo Fans Disapprove of Brasileirão Award Decision: ‘They Really Messed Up’

The CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) is promoting the Brasileirão 2025 Awards this Monday (8) in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro’s South Zone. At the event, coach Rafael Guanaes won the award for best coach of the national championship. The decision outraged Flamengo fans, who complained about Filipe Luís not being awarded.

The mobilization on social media was varied. A large part of the Rio de Janeiro club’s fans questioned the award. Rafael Guanaes made headlines in the Brasileirão by leading Mirassol to a 4th place finish in the tournament.

When complaining about the award, Flamengo fans highlighted that the prize should have gone to Filipe Luís, as he was the tournament champion. See the repercussion of the case below:
