In Odisha’s Malkangiri district, a tribal woman’s murder sparked a gruesome wave of violence in MV-26 village. Angry mobs set over 100 homes on fire, leading to looting and violent clashes. The violence escalated rapidly after the murder, causing fear and tension to grip the village. The murder victim, a 51-year-old tribal woman from Lakhpadimin, was found dead near Dudametta riverbank on the 4th of December, raising suspicions of a long-standing land dispute as the motive behind her killing.
