3I/ATLAS Update: Interstellar Comet Emitting X-Rays Covering an Area of 400,000 km

Researchers noted that the emission may result from charge-exchange interactions. Since its discovery in July, 3I/ATLAS has intrigued the scientific community due to its hyperbolic trajectory, indicating it originated from outside our solar system. Passing Mars on October 2-3, the comet reached perihelion on October 29, displaying sudden brightness and non-gravitational acceleration. NASA and ESA captured images as it approached Earth for its closest encounter on December 19.
