Christians Gather in New Delhi Amid Rising Persecution in India

Sepastian Venance, president of the All India Catholic Union and the United Christian Forum, led the gathering of more than 2,000 Christians at Jantar Mantar, showing solidarity against the discriminatory laws and actions affecting Christian groups with more than 200 members. Prominent leaders, social activists, journalists, and supporters of various religions attended the national Christian conference. In their speeches, prominent speakers highlighted the escalating discrimination against Christians between 2014 and 2024, with nearly 500 incidents of violence and over 834 cases of persecution recorded in 2024 alone.
