Maduro weaker than ever and Trump was decisive, says María Corina

Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado said she believes U.S. President Donald Trump’s actions were ‘decisive’ in weakening Nicolás Maduro’s regime. ‘I believe that every country has the right to defend itself and, in our case, I believe that the pressure exerted by President Trump has been crucial in weakening Maduro’s grip on power,’ Machado stated. She emphasized the need to increase the costs for the dictator to remain in power and reduce the costs for him to leave. ‘This is what we are working towards now,’ she added.
