Retail sales regain momentum and grow 0.5% in October

Retail sales grew by 0.5% in October compared to September. This result marks the largest increase in consecutive months since March 2025, when it had grown by 0.7%. Compared to October 2024, Brazilian commerce advanced by 1.1%. The increase was mainly driven by the sale of computers, cell phones, and home appliances, which were strong performers in the market. Consumers showed more confidence in making purchases as the economy started to show signs of recovery.
