Carlos Miguel: Negotiation at Standstill, but Palmeiras remains Confident

The negotiation for Carlos Miguel to join Palmeiras has taken a negative turn in the last few hours. Internal disagreements (in the negotiation process) and the fact that the player’s name was leaked ‘prematurely’ to the press have hindered the deal. Despite the recent obstacles, the Verdão remains confident in reaching an agreement and, therefore, paying around 4 million euros (R$25.5 million) to Nottingham Forest. The English club, in fact, is still awaiting the formalization of the proposal. No longer in the plans of the English team, due to the decision of Portuguese coach Nuno Espírito Santo, the Brazilian goalkeeper had a preference to stay in Europe. However, Palmeiras’ strong interest has shifted the scenario.
