Typhoon “Willow” may land in Guangdong with a 12th-level typhoon intensity, bringing heavy rain to Guangzhou

Typhoon “Willow”, the 11th typhoon of the year, may directly land in Guangdong. Starting the day after tomorrow, the lingering circulation of Typhoon “Willow” will bring heavy to very heavy rain to Guangzhou. From yesterday daytime to this morning, parts of the Pearl River Delta, eastern Guangdong, Heyuan, and Zhanjiang experienced (thunder) showers with locally heavy rain. According to meteorological hydrological monitoring, from 8:00 yesterday to 8:00 today, 3 towns recorded over 100 mm of heavy rain in Guangdong, 40 towns recorded 50 mm to 100 mm of rain, and 173 towns recorded 25 mm to 50 mm of heavy rain. Zijin in Heyuan recorded the lowest temperature in the province today at 23.4°C.
