Ukrainian President Zelensky stated that Russia is seeking for Ukraine to withdraw from the entire Donetsk eastern region as part of a ceasefire agreement. Russian leader Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump are scheduled to meet in Alaska on Friday to discuss the issue of relinquishing land to end the war. Zelensky revealed this request on Tuesday, reaffirming that Kyiv will not agree to this provision as it is unconstitutional and would encourage Russia’s future aggressive behavior. Kyiv currently controls 9000 square kilometers (3500 square miles) of land in the Ukrainian Donetsk region, which is currently the most intense area of conflict.
