A meteorite originating from deep space that crashed onto a house in Georgia has been officially identified and confirmed to be older than Earth. Named the McDonough Meteorite, it streaked across the Southeast US on June 26, eventually creating a hole in a residence in Georgia. Analysis indicates that the meteorite likely came from the main asteroid belt situated between Mars and Jupiter. Scientists believe it can be linked to the disintegration of a much larger asteroid approximately 470 million years ago.
