Maduro mobilizes 4.5 million militias across Venezuela. President Maduro announced the deployment of over 4.5 million militiamen to cities throughout the country as part of a government ‘peace plan’. Maduro made the statement during a televised working meeting on Tuesday (18) with governors and mayors in Caracas, alongside the country’s Minister of Justice, Diosdado Cabello. ‘I will activate a special plan to ensure coverage with over 4.5 million militiamen across the national territory. Militias prepared, activated, and armed,’ Maduro stated.
