Green Day’s Show in Rio de Janeiro Cancelled

The Live Pass production company announced on Thursday (21) that Green Day’s show in Rio de Janeiro has been canceled. The American band was supposed to perform at Nilton Santos Stadium on September 9th, but the return match of the Copa do Brasil quarterfinals between Botafogo and Vasco prevents the concert from taking place. The production company stated that there is not enough time to dismantle the stage production and structures in time for the match scheduled for September 11th. In a statement released on their website and social media, Live Pass said they met with Botafogo to discuss “the best strategy for holding the events and agreed that dismantling all the show structures in time to release the stadium for the match would be technically unfeasible for a show of this magnitude and a game of this importance.”. Information on refunds for ticket purchases can be found on the Live Pass website. Refunds will be made according to the payment method used for the purchase: credit card, pix, debit card, cash at the box office. Livepass insurance and installment interest charges will be refunded normally, if applicable. The service fee will also be refunded.
