Trump prepares to take control of America’s third-largest city after Washington, sends troops

After the federal takeover of Washington D.C., President Donald Trump is now gearing up to take decisive action in America’s third-largest city, Chicago. According to a report by The Washington Post, the Pentagon has been planning to deploy National Guard troops in Chicago for the past few weeks. This move comes after the recent unrest in the city following the death of George Floyd. Mayor Lori Lightfoot and Governor J.B. Pritzker have criticized Trump’s intentions, accusing him of spreading fear and destabilizing public safety.
