Brazilian gymnastics added another important chapter to the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championship, in the last event of the tournament held in Rio. To the sound of ‘Evidências,’ the Brazilian team delivered an excellent performance in the mixed competition (3 balls and 2 hoops), in a presentation that thrilled the audience. The team composed of Duda Arakaki, Maria Paula Caminha, Mariana Gonçalves, Sofia Pereira, and Nicole Pircio scored 28.550 points, the second-highest score on the apparatus so far, behind only Ukraine. The day before, Brazil won silver in the overall competition with a score of 27.850.
