Israeli strikes in Yemen’s Sanaa kill six and injure 86

Israeli and Yemeni officials reported that the Israeli military bombed the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, amidst escalating tensions in the region. The attack took place as Israel’s conflict with Gaza continues to intensify, further increasing regional instability.

Affiliated with the Houthi rebels, al-Masirah TV reported that the attack hit an oil facility and a power plant in Sanaa last Sunday. Israel, on the other hand, claimed to have also bombed the presidential palace in Sanaa, stating that the palace is located within a military complex.

Israeli fighter jets fired 40 missiles at Sanaa, hitting various targets. The military also claimed to have attacked a military installation used by the Houthi rebels for manufacturing and assembling drones and weapons. The strikes have caused significant damage to infrastructure in Yemen’s capital.

The Israeli airstrikes in Sanaa have resulted in casualties, with at least 6 people reported dead and 86 injured. The international community has raised concerns about the escalating violence in the region, urging for restraint and efforts to de-escalate the conflict. The situation in Yemen remains fragile and volatile, with the attacks exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the country.

Houthi rebels have vowed to continue supporting Gaza amidst the Israeli airstrikes. The attacks have been met with condemnation from various groups, including Hamas, who have condemned Israel’s actions as a blatant violation of international law. Hamas has called for solidarity among Arab and Islamic nations to confront Israeli aggression.
