Osmar Stabile elected new Corinthians president

Osmar Stabile is the new president of Corinthians. In the voting that took place this Monday (25) at Parque São Jorge, the new black-and-white leader received 199 votes. Also candidates in the election, Antônio Roque Citadini received 50 votes, while André Castro got 14. The election had only one blank vote. Already interim since Augusto Melo’s removal in May, Stabile continues to lead the club, now as an elected president. His term will be only 14 months, until December 31, 2026, ending the time that would belong to Augusto Melo, who was ousted from office at the beginning of August. Following the club’s statute in case of impeachment, Monday’s election was restricted: only the 299 Corinthians councilors were eligible to vote.
