Korean Air Expands Fleet with $50 Billion Investment in Boeing Aircraft

Korean Air has recently sealed a major agreement, with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and US President Donald Trump in attendance, to invest a staggering $50 billion in acquiring more than 100 Boeing aircraft, together with spare engines and engine maintenance for a period of 20 years. In the words of Korean Air executives, ‘This deal is a strategic choice to strengthen Korean Air’s partnership with the U.S. aviation industry and enhance our global competitiveness.’ The agreement is expected to significantly expand Korean Air’s fleet capacity and solidify its position in the aviation market.
