At least 13 dead in landside on Vaishno Devi route as heavy rains cause havoc in Jammu

Several individuals are feared trapped, as officials report at least 13 deaths in the aftermath of heavy rains causing a landslide on the Vaishno Devi route in Jammu. The destruction has been immense, with bridges collapsing and mobile towers along with electricity poles snapping like twigs under the force of nature’s fury. Rescue teams are working tirelessly to extract those buried under the debris near the Inderprastha Bhojnalaya at Adhkwari. The landslide struck midway along the 12-km trek from Katra.
