Actor’s Transformation into Frankenstein Impresses in Movie; Change Required 11 Daily Hours; Check It Out

Actor Jacob Elordi is seen as Frankenstein in a new film by director Guillermo del Toro. To transform into the character, the actor had to undergo a process of around 11 hours every day during filming. On social media, a video showing how this transformation was made impressed fans. ‘What a shame to spoil such a beautiful face,’ joked one person online. ‘I swear to God I didn’t recognize Elordi in this movie,’ wrote another on Instagram. ‘But I did recognize that he is very handsome,’ pointed out one more internet user. In addition to dedicating over 10 hours a day to shooting, Elordi also had to wear 42 prosthetics all over his body, with 14 of them just on his head and neck. Removing all this was also a chore: the actor would sit in an inflatable sauna set up in his trailer to help take off all the pieces. This finishing process took about 90 minutes. Elordi plays the traditional role of the creature in this del Toro film. The feature film premiered in theaters in October 2025 and is now on Netflix. It tells the story of the brilliant but selfish scientist who brings a monstrous creature to life in a bold experiment that ultimately leads to the downfall of both the creator and his tragic creation.
