A ceramic bowl discovered off the coast of Egypt in 2008 may hold the oldest reference to Christ. Dubbed the ‘Jesus Cup’, this artifact was found during an excavation led by French marine archaeologist Franck Goddio in Alexandria’s ancient ruins. The cup’s intricate design includes what appears to be a reference to Jesus, making it a significant historical and religious discovery. This finding sheds light on early Christian symbolism in the region and further deepens our understanding of the religion’s roots.
