Andi Amran: Insha Allah We Will Achieve Food Self-Sufficiency This Year

Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman expressed his confidence that Indonesia will achieve food self-sufficiency this year. Specifically, in rice, self-sufficiency can be achieved in the next three months. ‘Please also pray for us, my journalist friends. Insha Allah, this year we will be self-sufficient,’ said Amran during a visit to Padang.
Indonesia’s highest rice reserves in history, reaching 2.7 million tons, provide a strong foundation for this goal. Amran emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government, farmers, and journalists to ensure the success of this initiative. ‘Let’s work together to make this a reality,’ he added.
Amran highlighted the efforts to boost rice production through the improvement of irrigation systems, seed quality, and agricultural technology. These enhancements are expected to increase productivity and help achieve food self-sufficiency. ‘By optimizing our resources and technology, we can overcome any challenges that come our way,’ he explained.
The Minister also underscored the significance of public support in realizing this vision. He called for unity and solidarity in facing the food security challenges that Indonesia currently faces. ‘Together, we can ensure that no one in our nation goes hungry. Let’s strive for a brighter future for all,’ he stated.
Amran’s optimism stems from the government’s comprehensive strategies to strengthen the agricultural sector and bolster food security. These initiatives include increasing agricultural funding, promoting sustainable practices, and fostering innovation in farming methods. ‘We are laying the groundwork for a more resilient and prosperous agricultural industry,’ he affirmed.
As Indonesia moves towards achieving food self-sufficiency, Amran remains committed to transparency and accountability in the agricultural sector. He emphasized the importance of accurate data and effective governance in ensuring the success of these endeavors. ‘We must uphold the principles of integrity and diligence in all our actions,’ he asserted.
In conclusion, Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman’s confidence in Indonesia’s ability to achieve food self-sufficiency reflects the nation’s determination to overcome challenges and build a secure future. With concerted efforts and unwavering dedication, Indonesia is poised to make significant strides towards a more sustainable and food-secure future.
