Arya Sinulingga Appoints New Head Coach for Indonesian National Team in March 2026

After Patrick Kluivert was fired, the head coach position of the Indonesian National Team has been vacant. This has led to various rumors circulating about the new coach for the Garuda Squad. Names like Louis Van Gaal, Frank de Bour, and even the return of Shin Tae-yong have been mentioned. However, these rumors were denied by the Chairman of the PSSI, Erick Thohir. Erick stated that the selection of a new coach will not be rushed. Executive Committee Member of PSSI, Arya Sinulingga, hinted that the new Indonesian National Team will have a new coach during the FIFA Matchday period in March 2026. Therefore, Arya assured that PSSI will not appoint a new coach in the near future. For the upcoming FIFA Matchday in November, PSSI has decided to field the U23 National Team under the guidance of Indra Sjafri.
