Chennai, AVM Saravanan passed away yesterday due to health issues. Poet Vairamuthu shared in his statement: “Rajinikanth sang for the movie ‘Sivaji’ and AVM Saravanan generously gave me a pair of shoes as a token of appreciation. After a few weeks, he gave me another pair. I was puzzled.” Vairamuthu narrates how Saravanan asked him for an additional Rs. 1 lakh after receiving the gift, which he promptly provided. “It’s not fair to ask for a refund after agreeing to a gift,” Vairamuthu remembered. We returned the amount he requested. That indeed was the sum. It contained Rs. 1 lakh,” he said.
